What People's Say About Place

I gotta say, I have never, ever, envisioned Mexican food with Guamanian food. Tio Chino pulls it off though. I had the Chile Verde as my main dish and then the appetizer was a Guamanian-style ceviche...I wish I remembered the name of it, because it was awesome. Just ask for it how I described it though since that's how they described it to us. The staff was super friendly and eager to talk about the menu and what the Guamanian items were like. I guess it used to be 100% Mexican, but the restaurant was purchased by two guys from... you guessed it... Guam. We went on a Wednesday and it was Open Mic night. Definitely a wacky experience but I will definitely be going back.

Nice bar. Lots of selection. Didn't try the coconut margarita, which seems to be the house specialty. But probably will next time. Loved the small bite section on the menu. Didn't go for the Mexican. Ended up trying the Pacific Island food. All very good.

Had a great time with my family. We really enjoyed the live music and the atmosphere (and margaritas) were great. The fajitas were delish and enjoyed speaking to the owner and friendly staff. See you guys again soon!

Went for a lovely meal here with my husband when on holiday in USA. Fabulous light & zesty Mexican food, not heavy & greasy as I often find it to be. Excellent customer service, really friendly waitress, with lovely smile who persuaded us to try the Margaritas, which were lush... especially the frozen ones. Will definitely be visiting again if in the San Diego area again!

Prices for main course dishes range from $7 to $13. We went around 6:30 and ordered quickly but the food took at least 20-30 minutes to arrive at the table. They give complimentary chips and salsa (although I found the salsa to be a little bland tasting; others in the group loved it). The flavor of the main course (2 chicken enchiladas with molé sauce) was very good and the portion size was good.
